Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research and identify potential customers

Job Summary: A Roof Salesman is responsible for generating leads, selling roofing products and services, and building strong customer relationships. This role involves a combination of sales, product knowledge, and customer service. Roof Salesmen work in the construction and roofing industry and often represent a roofing company or contractor.

Key Responsibilities:

Prospect and Lead Generation:Identify potential customers through various means, such as referrals, cold calls, online research, and networking.
Maintain a database of leads and prospects for future outreach.

Consultation and Needs Assessment:Meet with potential customers to assess their roofing needs and provide expert advice.
Conduct roof inspections and evaluations to determine the scope of work required.

Product Knowledge:Stay up-to-date with the latest roofing materials, technologies, and industry trends.
Educate customers about different roofing options, including materials, colors, and designs.

Sales and Quoting:Prepare accurate and competitive price quotes for roofing projects.
Present quotes to customers and address any questions or concerns they may have.
Negotiate terms and close sales deals.

Customer Relationship Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
Provide exceptional customer service and follow up on completed projects to ensure satisfaction.

Project Coordination:Collaborate with the roofing team and project managers to ensure that the project is executed as agreed with the customer.
Ensure that the project stays on schedule and within budget.

Administrative Tasks:Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and project details.
Prepare and submit necessary paperwork, contracts, and permits.

Sales Goals and Targets:Meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals set by the company.
Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales objectives.

Market Research:Stay informed about local and regional market trends, competitor offerings, and pricing.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in sales or related field is a plus).
  • Previous sales experience, preferably in the construction or roofing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of roofing materials, products, and installation processes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using customer relationship management (CRM) software and sales tools.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • State or industry-specific certifications and licenses may be required.

Working Conditions:
