Our team is seeking a candidate for our Sales Development Representative (SDR) position. This role is responsible for prospecting, qualifying, and generating potential customers who would benefit from our products and services. As the first line of communication with a prospect, the ideal SDR has a strong understanding of the sales process, a curiosity satisfied by extensive research and investigation, finds satisfactions in starting new relationships, and teeing up a team of closers for the final technical negotiations. This candidate must be a highly motivated self-starter able to identify and develop new business prospects from multiple sources including inbound marketing leads, prospect lists, discovery, and individual research. A dynamic personality with a drive to reach decision makers is essential. The SDR needs to be a quick learner who has strong communication skills and an ability to showcase our offerings and align them with the needs of our customers in a compelling way.

- Create new business opportunities via the proven channels and mass communication such as email blast and social media to introduce the brand and offer solutions to the appropriate buyers within the target market.
- Follow up on leads and conduct research to identify potential prospects.
- Understand the value of time with respect to your work. Not every prospect is going to be a great customer.
- Support sales team to improve performance, control, and maintenance of their leads.
- Identify decision-makers within prospects to determine budget and timeline. Build and cultivate prospective relationships by initiating communications and conducting follow-up communications to move opportunities through the sales funnel.
- Work with the Marketing and Sales Departments to develop and grow the sales pipeline to consistently meet quarterly revenue goals.
- Assisting Marketing Director in writing reports and analyzing data.
- Helping to drive leads and online traffic with web-based activities and programs.
- Manage data for new and prospective clients in Salesforce and our ERP, ensuring all communications are logged, information is accurate, and documents are attached, as well as reporting and follow-up activities meet the organization requirements.
- Identify, communicate, and execute planning for conferences/markets/shows that will introduce new prospective customers.
- A proactive, service-focused attitude towards customers and the teams you support internally.
- Represent the companys products and services, using comprehensive knowledge as well as consumer research to explain how our solutions meet customer needs.
- Generate leads and build relationships by nurturing warm prospects and finding potential new sales opportunities through current and new processes.
- Identify best practices for refining the companys lead-generation playbook.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor, safety officer, and/or Human Resources.
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Utilize critical thinking skills as necessary to ask and answer questions concerning work projects.
- Makes recommendations for process improvement or reduce costs.
- Responsible for up-to-date maintenance of the position workbook.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Carries out conduct and leadership responsibilities in accordance with company policies, procedures, safety, and applicable laws. Routine duties are performed with minimal supervision; standard practices or procedures allow for routine work to be done alone with the occasional work being checked while in progress; work is reviewed upon completion.

Education and Experience
Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 1-3 years telemarketing / online channel sales and/or inside sales experience is a plus. Excellent client service skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Mathematical Skills

Computer Operations
Proficient in internet usage and search functions. Experience with Salesforce, Visual or another CRM Software preferred. A working knowledge of Active Campaign or similar marketing email platform is recommended. The ability to learn and understand new software and other technology applications.
Planning/Organization
Must demonstrate the ability to prioritize and organize assignments. Handle multiple projects simultaneously.
