Description:
Chronicle Books is looking for an Export Sales Assistant to support the Export Sales department by coordinating the flow of sales and marketing information, handling requests and questions from international distributors, and working with the Associate Director to develop sales and marketing strategies.

The Export Sales Assistant will handle requests for samples and sales/marketing materials, new account coding, and act as a contact for collection management. They will attend international sales meetings and export check-ins, they will send out production schedule updates, and track dropship orders for each export partner. The Sales Assistant will also export monthly newsletters, manage all international new business leads, create monthly campaign PowerPoint presentations, and do calendar forecasting. In addition, they will manage website international contact information, curate seasonal key titles, and send out seasonal tipsheets and cover art for frontlist titles each season.

Employees at Chronicle Books follow a flexible hybrid schedule of working a minimum of 3 days per week and up to 4 days per week in our San Francisco office, depending on project and business needs. Please note that this job description is not designed to cover all the activities required of the employee.

Hiring Salary Range - $22.84/hr - $24.04/hr. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the expected salary for this position and will be determined by factors including but not limited to the applicants education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, and geographic location as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. This position is also eligible for our profit share plan.

Requirements:
Applicants will need Microsoft Office experience, and strong Excel and PowerPoint skills are a must. They should be highly motivated with excellent organizational skills and a keen attention to detail. They should have a proven ability to take initiative, prioritize varying responsibilities, exhibit effective writing and communication skills, and communicate effectively with all employees at all levels. Experience working with Salesforce is preferred as is book publishing experience
