The Sales Engineer is responsible for resolving technical issues in a timely manner while providing excellent customer service to the company. This role can be housed at any of our locations throughout the United States.

• Serve as the technical lead, ensuring Sunbelt Solomon Services installation products and solutions are preferred/approved. Provide coverage and application expertise in target markets; Industrial, Commercial, Construction, and Utility.
• Be the national product and solution expert to generate revenue for the products in the assigned portfolio.
• Support account managers with technical aspects of the products sold via distributor partners.
• Be tightly integrated with local commercial teams to ensure specification efforts are aligned with target market segments.
• Assist customers with technical questions and assist technical team with creating solutions.
• Tightly integrated with internal engineering teams to properly communicate capabilities and review specification exceptions.
• Train our national sales teams and customers on products applicable to the markets they support.
• Develop and deliver training classes to educate influencers and customers on industry topics and Sunbelt Solomon that address their design needs and applications.
• Support Sunbelt Solomons customer base nationally when requested by management based on technical needs of the team.
• Monitor project activity for projects in the planning stage to ensure early engagement with consultants and customers on specifications designed around Sunbelt Solomon products and capabilities.

• Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 3-5 Years demonstrated experience with Electrical Industry.
• Customer focused and passion for customer development.
• Strong communication skills to influence customers specifications and to negotiate with customers' principals/executives on issues that may have future business implications.
• Proficient use of MS Word, PPT, Excel, Visio software, Power System Design software such as EMTP-RV, ETAP, SKM etc.
• Understanding of large corporate and business unit matrix engagement.
• Innovative strategic planning skills, ability to assess and manage risks, and translate technical data into easily understandable information.
