Independent insurance agency has an opening for an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager. Pillar Insurance is a family-owned business, offering a competitive salary and benefits, as well as a casual and flexible work environment.

Our ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of commercial lines account management experience, currently have a valid P&C license and experience with various insurance carrier websites. Our agency utilizes Applied Epic management system.

Requires committed, energetic and empathetic listener with excellent communication skills, a commitment to serve others, ability to multi-task, problem-solve and who has a desire to achieve and continually learn. Individual must be detail oriented, accurate, organized and efficient.

The Job includes but is not limited to:

• Prepares surveys as needed for renewal business.
• Works with prospect and/or Producer to compile all information needed to provide quotes for new accounts and selects appropriate carriers to quote
• Works with Producers to determine appropriate coverages, prepare applications and other submission documents, prepare quotations and prepare proposals on new business.
• Reviews quotes, prepares proposals and discusses with Producer in a timely manner.
• Maintains controls on renewal expirations and binders on an ongoing basis.
• Conducts ongoing risk management reviews of commercial lines accounts to identify inadequate coverages or limits and discusses findings with Producer.
• Prints applications 90 days prior to policys expiration date for Producer/Insured review.
• Handles policy and claim processing situations with client and/or company personnel as needed, including the ordering and checking of endorsements, cancellations, audits, reporting forms, etc., and delegating when appropriate.
• Handles requests for bonds and certificates
• Maintains direct communication with producers, company underwriters and insureds in servicing assigned accounts.
• Prepares documents for new accounts as they are assigned.
• Checks new policies and prepares for delivery to client within 2 weeks of receipt.
