Full description of the position

Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day catering services and oversee event contracts and operations to ensure quality service delivery.

Assist members with special dining requests and respond to catering inquiries.

Coordinate and assist with the setup and delivery of banquet events, ensuring accurate arrangements.

Maintain event files, including client information and function sheets.

Handle complaints and maintain client records to assess ongoing needs.

Obtain permits for special events and evaluate functions for quality improvement.

Attend meetings to review policies, develop business, and enhance banquet functions.

Assume manager-on-duty responsibilities when necessary and ensure compliance with protocols.

Diagram room layouts and manage banquet billing for prompt payment.

Serve as liaison between kitchen, service, and management staff.

Support Club House Manager with special projects as assigned.

Possess knowledge of food and beverage operations and emergency procedures.

Demonstrate effective communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.

Expectations:

Gather and organize information systematically.

Develop creative solutions for event themes and problem-solving.

Communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Negotiate and finalize contracts creatively.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED; one year of related experience and/or training.

2+ years of experience in catering operations.

Extensive knowledge of the private club industrys food and beverage operations

Licenses and Special Requirements:

Food Safety Certification

Alcoholic Beverage Certification

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform various physical activities including walking, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, stretching, twisting, and reaching.

Move objects weighing up to 50 pounds by pushing, pulling, or lifting.

Ability to focus and multitask in a high-demanding environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week
