We have an immediate opening for a Sales Audit Clerk. This position is a full-time hourly position that works out of our corporate office in Troy, MI

Responsibilities:

• Audit daily store cash reports/bank deposits/paid outs (make adjustments as necessary
• Email store to get missing paperwork
• Process manual post voids, process corporate checks
• Make sure deposits are done in a timely manner.
• Work with store on any issues they may have, track unusual cash shortages and overage each day.
• Verify amounts paid on gun surcharge forms are correct
• Daily check of credit card variances (investigate variances / process and make adjustments as necessary)
• Cancel store inventory transfers when a transfer is keyed incorrectly by the store

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Some knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Ability to use accounting software to record, store, and analyze data.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree with accounting coursework preferred.
• At least one year of sales audit experience required, preferably in retail industry.
