Gardenland is looking for an experienced Counter Sales Associate. Ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar role with small engine power equipment or automotive parts sales. The Counter Sales Associate is a full-time position. Upon completion of a probationary period, all full-time employees of Gardenland will receive Medical, Dental, and retirement benefits. Gardenland has been in business since 1960 and services the greater bay area. Responsibilities:

Provide excellent service to customers (live and by phone)

Maintain inventory on shelves and in bins by performing perpetual inventories.

Report any discrepancies in stock levels, and return unsold items to stock.

Required Skills:

Minimum of 2 years of prior experience in a similar role.

Demonstrate sales, professionalism, and interpersonal skills.

Basic computer skills (utilize parts look-up system).

Knowledge of basic math skills.

Ability to read invoices, catalogs, stock numbers, and descriptions to accurately identify items.

Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Show a high level of ownership, accountability, and initiative.

Show proven experience in working well within a team.

Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays; and work overtime as required.

Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Spanish speaking is a plus.

Education:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
