McKernan Packaging Clearing House is a worldwide packaging component distribution company incorporated in 1960. The Precycle Packaging program is an "earth-friendly" concept developed by McKernan as a resource for manufacturers and businesses to reduce corporate waste. This program acquires unused packaging components and offers them for sale at a reduced price. The focus of this position is to purchase large volumes of this Precycle Packaging. Position Summary:

We have an immediate opening for an energetic, highly motivated Business Development Representative to join our purchasing team. The BDR will be responsible for making high volume outbound cold/warm calls and sending follow-up emails to companies with the goal of purchasing large quantities of Precycle Packaging. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, driven entrepreneurial individual with an aggressive, sales-oriented mentality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ability to prospect and uncover opportunities
• Learn to identify packaging market trends
• Maintain and expand your database of vendors

Desired Qualifications:

• Professional demeanor with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A positive can-do attitude with the ability to overcome obstacles and pursue desired results
• Strong organizational and listening skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
• Talent to work effectively with minimal supervision
• Basic math skills and proficiency in windows-based operating systems
• Strong phone presence and experience making numerous calls per day
