Position: Outside Sales - Retail

Reports to and works with Team Sales Director and Vice President, Fresh Cut/ Produce Processing & Production in developing retail customers.

OUTSIDE RESPONSIBILITIES

Direct Sales New Business

Call on small chains and independent retail accounts to develop new business and relationships.

Account list will be given and will grow overtime as new potential customers become vetted.

Portfolio to include:

retail packed products produce & deli departments

Case /bulk produce and foodservice products for produce & deli departments

Select retail packaged lines new to Costa

Direct sales tasks include (but not limited to):

Conduct product presentations to new customers

Participate in sales blitz activities

Attend food shows

Work with Director and Vice President on account pricing, delivery schedules, customer product portfolio.

Sales Goal: 500,000 year 1.

Direct Sales Existing business

Work with sales director to call on large chain accounts to manage existing business

Grow and develop new business with existing customers.

Sales Support

Assist in managing existing chain retail accounts.

Assist with emergency deliveries, product pick-ups, special orders (all based on customer needs).

INSIDE RESPONSIBILITIES

Attend, participate and present at weekly retail sales meetings and events. Actively partner with Fresh Cut/Processing leadership.

Customer Order processing

Will be trained to enter customer order processing

Work with other departments servicing new customers, foodservice and produce purchasing, fresh ideas, operations and transportation

Skill Requirements:

Proven retail sales abilities and a track record of success.

Retail food and produce background highly preferred.

Retail store operations very helpful

PC skills & proficiency to include: data entry, MS Word, Excel

Schedule

100 % Outside sales (new business and business maintenance)

Weekly schedule: Monday Friday, 7:30 4:00 / 8 4:30 / 8:30 5

Some weekends checking emails and calls from warehouse operations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
