Job Summary:

Inside sales personnel interact with our customers primarily through telephone and e-mails, building long-lasting relationships. They provide the friendly and persuasive customer service required to generate and close sales, to meet or exceed sales and profit goals, and to increase profit sharing. They know the building products we sell and work effectively as a team member.

Job Duties:

--Process sales orders and bids generated through telephone sales transactions.

--Grow and retain established customer base and develop new business using outbound telemarketing campaigns.

--Maintain product literature files and sample materials to ensure the most current and accurate information is always provided to our customers.

--Investigate and resolve customer problems. Address pricing deductions and material returns in a timely manner and in accordance with company policy and procedure.

--Communicate to the manager any changes in a customers business.

--Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.

--Physical demands: Sitting, standing, walking.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

--Outstanding customer service and telephone/verbal communication skills.

--Comprehensive knowledge of building products; ability to suggest appropriate related products for purchase.

--Ability to find new customers, increase sales with established accounts, identify customer needs, provide profitable solutions, explain our value-added services, and close the sale.

--Ability to build and maintain a positive working relationship with customers, vendors and co-workers.

--Read, write, speak and understand English. Add, subtract, multiply and divide fluently.

--Knowledge of accounts payable and receivable is a plus.

Education, Training, Experience:

--High school diploma or equivalent

--Minimum 2years of experience in inside sales.

--Knowledge of building products we sell.

--Skill in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel) to communicate via e-mail, to maintain weekly sales plans, call reports, customer contact files, and customer data analysis.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
