They will have an ability to connect with our guests on the phone, assist with reservations, and help set up the next days tours for our guides. The perfect fit for this position is someone that can handle taking a reservation, design profitable and creative private tours, and cooperatively work with our operations team to maximize sales. POSITION SUMMARY:
50% Reservations and Confirmations You are the key to creating amazing experiences for our guests. Help guide prospective guests to book the tour thats best for them, executing with accuracy, and setting them up for an incredible day on tour. We work with Microsoft Office, FareHarbor booking software, and a few applications. Must be comfortable with emails, be detail-oriented, and enjoy getting the customer from call-to-booked. The phone, the phone, the phone. Our high end product requires exceptional customer service to work with our 5-star guides, guests, and partners.
30% Private Tour Design Being the premier luxury tour operator in Hawaii requires white glove customer service and high levels of commitment to working with amazing partners. Professional communication and cooperation with our group sales manager and reservation team is essential in building, billing, and delivering exceptional tours.
20% Work with Operations to Maximize Profitability Profitability requires creative thinkers who understand work and cashflow as it pertains to sales. Maximizing opportunities with cruise ships, group sales, and individual travelers requires creative problem solving and can be really fun to plan with upper management.
ACTUAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Taking reservation phone calls and entering them into our booking software. Emailing vendors for the next days tours, verifying meal choices, and taking notes for guides. Assisting the Operations Manager with scheduling, managing tour supply inventory, and various clerical duties. Any other duties as assigned; including but not limited to: assisting with day-to-day sales, meeting with our marketing and operations team to develop a robust tour portfolio that excites the right candidate.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales, with a focus on negotiation, business development, account management, and analysis skills
- Demonstrated leadership abilities in a sales environment
- Experience in outside sales, B2B sales, and technical sales is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM software
- Strong customer service skills
- Background in marketing or technology sales would be advantageous
