Director Of Grocery Sales

Job Summary:

Peerless Coffee & Tea is celebrating our 100 anniversary this year and still growing! We are looking for talented and energetic Director of Grocery Sales to join our dynamic team. The Director of Grocery Sales will work with an existing customer portfolio as well as drive new business development. They will lead the current Grocery Team as well as key customer relationships.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Must have at least 5 years experience growing sales in the Grocery segment

• Strong, collaborative, relationship-building, analytical and proactive problem-solving skills. Proficient at managing trade spend and promotional calendars.

• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills are required.

• Must be proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook. CRM experience a plus.

• Ability to interact effectively all levels of staff from purchasers to CEOs

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead and direct the overall Grocery and Packaged Retail Distribution sales plan.

• Organized and able to effectively manage a potential customer funnel of targets

• Manage promotional calendars and trade spend approvals

• Establish a California-first, then Western region vision for growth

• Have a proactive mentality for setting sales goals and closing accounts.

• Lead, oversee, and develop the entire Grocery team .
