Elliott Electric Supply in Lenexa, KS is hiring for a new Counter/Inside person. The Counter Sales Person is responsible for providing assistance to customers during the sales/purchase process and for responding to customer inquiries in a professional manner. Maintain an awareness of all product knowledge information (including product catalogs, price sheets, etc.), product promotions and advertisements. Markets all products sold and suggests replacement/alternative products when appropriate. We are a wholesale electric supply distributor. Electrical contractors are our main customer so we deal with much the same customers every day and depend on that repeat business. We are looking for someone who is good at developing relations with our customer base. Electrical experience is highly preferred either with sales or field install.

We are a family owned company with over $2 billion in sales and over 190 locations. We offer competitive hourly pay along with commission and a full benefit package after 90 days. We are growing and need to add to our team and looking for that career minded person. Most of our company's upper management started their career in the warehouse and counter.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Experienced in Microsoft Word and Excel. A minimum of one year experience in the electrical industry and/or knowledge of electrical products required. Strong mathematical ability. Basic familiarity with the use of a personal computer. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats. Demonstrated time management and organizational skills, including an ability to plan and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Ability to work well in a team environment. Strong customer service orientation.

Physical Requirements:

This is a safety sensitive position therefore the ability to work in a constant state of awareness and in a safe manner is imperative. Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time. Ability to utilize a computer keyboard, computer monitor, and telephone. Ability to bend, climb, push, and pull, including the ability to maneuver at heights and in tight or small places. Ability to routinely lift, carry, and otherwise transport work-related materials that frequently weigh up to 70 lbs. and that may occasionally weigh in excess of 70 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $47,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
