The Role:
In office Field sales support for regional Manufacturer Line Reps (MLR) groups to increase sales, improve client relations, and provide personal face-to-face training and mentoring.
- Collaboratively sell and present to end users in the Architects, Interiors and Design Industry
- Attend regional industry events, conferences, and meetings.
- Help identify new MLR potential groups.
- Effectively manage and coordinate the development/distribution of large projects leads in collaboration with MLR Groups
- Analyze, quantify, and record large opportunities for effective forecasting, funnel tracking and management.
- Fill territory coverage gaps by directly engaging in opportunities outside of MLR territories.
Details About the Role:
- Work with each MLR to increase sales and improve brand awareness in the MLR territory.
- Identify key targets by territory/vertical market focus, to recruit new partners and help grow revenue.
- Build and execute a sales plan that includes specific product strategies to increase sales through an MLR/Dealer network.
- Assign team(s) to work with A&D firms to ensure our brand, products and solutions are specified.
- Be a brand ambassador. Actively engage in local trade associations such as AIA (The American Institute of Architects) and IIDA (International Interior Design Association) and vertical market events and associations as well as regional chapters
- Participate as needed in national trade shows and events as well as conducting site meetings.
- Stay well versed in the A&D sector and become an opportunity spotter for the company.
- Independently promote brand and product capabilities to A&D firms, Office Furniture Dealers, General Contractors, and End Users
- Leverage sales tools and marketing materials to ensure MLR Partners are current and complete with up-to-date samples and product collateral.
- Report and collect data to identify market trends and new product opportunities.
- Achieve all KPIs established: Sales vs Forecasted Sales, Opportunities, Close-Ratio, Customer Retention, New Business Development, Presentations, Social Media participation, Brand Awareness through Market Response
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree or 5 years work experience in the contract commercial furniture field
- A history of successfully working with the A&D community is highly desired as is involvement in A&D associations and regional events.
- Knowledge of CAD including Revit, AutoCAD and SketchUp are desirable, but not required.
- This role requires discretion, creative thinking, and independent judgment.

Skills:
- Sales Management Background Documented ability to train/mentor sales teams. Set sales performance benchmarks and manage to expectations on a regular basis. Implement performance improvement plans and initiatives as needed. Recruit and retain sales talent.
- Organizational Skills - Effective time management and the ability to prioritize and focus to meet critical deadlines is essential.
- Interpersonal / Communication skills Heavy reliance on verbal and written communication is essential for success. Strong presentation skills and the ability to collaborate for effective team selling.
- Training Mentoring -Ability to transfer knowledge for sales growth and market penetration through effective use of sales and marketing tools.
- Computer Literacy Proficient in the use of Microsoft office Word/Power Point, Microsoft Suite of tools. A strong working understanding of EXCEL is required.
- Strong Analytical Skills Ability to analyze data for the effective quantification of leads and project opportunities. Effectively identify trends to assist in growth projections/expectations.
