The Hampton Inn Bridgeville is currently seeking a skilled, energetic, and self-motivated Director of Sales to join their team.
The Director of Sales will strive to position the hotel in the marketplace in a way that clearly meets the needs and wants of customers and clients while driving revenue to ensure a strong profit margin.
This position will be responsible for booking, finalizing, and detailing group and catering business for the hotel and conveying the group requirements to the appropriate departments within the hotel.
Create and distribute catering BEOs for specialized menus and set ups for pricing/availability.
Catering and event planning knowledge are important qualifications.
We are looking for a high energy, proven sales professional with hospitality sales experience. This will be a hands-on position that requires the ability to build relationships and actively solicit business for the hotel.
Soliciting new business to ensure all revenue goals are achieved or exceeded. Identify business opportunities, and proactively research, analyze, and contact prospective clients. Outside sales calls required.
Complete the contracts, prepare the appropriate paperwork, including banquet event orders, coordinate with the appropriate areas in the hotel and resolve any issues, complaints, and problems to ensure a quality product delivery and customer satisfaction.
Regular sales calls will be expected to potential customers along with cold sales calls. This position also requires the ability to analyze and understand the competitions strengths and weaknesses and execute and assist the Sales team to develop a thorough marketing plan.
Develop networking opportunities through active participation in community and professional associations, activities, networking, trade shows, and events.
Direct all facets of the group sales effort to meet or exceed budgeted revenue and department profits.
Stay in touch with industry trend and make recommendations of changes, which would improve operations.
Requirements:
3 Years Sales Experienced preferred.
Previous hotel and/or event sales experience is preferred.
Both group and corporate transient sales development are helpful
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Have competency in computer software programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Be able to use the internet as a prospecting tool to aid in the search for new business opportunities.
