Full description of the position

Sales Development Representative

Executive: Vice President of Sales

Reports to: Director of Distributor Sales

SAGE offers business management software, websites, marketing tools and more that help our clients become more efficient and effective in their pursuits. The Distributor Sales team maintains an average employee tenure of 7 years, ranging from 20 years to 1 year.

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) position will work with Account Advisors on the Distributor Sales team to schedule calls and demos. They will contact pre-qualified prospects that are fed via our proprietary CRM software and schedule virtual meetings between them and Advisors., This role includes but is not limited to:

Job Responsibilities

- Initiating contact with pre-qualified leads through phone calls, emails, and other communication channels with the goal of coordinating a discovery call/virtual demo between prospect and Advisor

- Engaging in meaningful conversations to understand specific needs and pain points

- Collaborating with team members to seamlessly transition interested prospects to the appropriate Account Advisors for Initial Discovery call

- Providing comprehensive and accurate lead information, including detailed notes and insights from interactions

- Tracking and managing leads, opportunities, and sales activities using our CRM software Regularly updating and maintaining accurate records of client interactions and progress

- Meeting or exceeding assigned sales targets, such as meetings set, and other key performance indicators

- Regularly reporting on sales activities, pipeline status, and progress towards goals

- Acquiring and maintaining a working knowledge of our service offerings

- Traveling to and attending tradeshows (online and in-person) as required

- Maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of the promotional products industry and latest trends

- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, and sharing insights and feedback from potential clients or customers to improve products, services, and marketing strategies

Skills and Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in business, marketing, sales, or other related degree preferred

- CRM Experience preferred

- Experience with Calendly or similar tool preferred

- Ability to attend in-person team office meetings when/if required

- Ability to perform virtual meetings via Zoom (or other platforms), as well as other on-camera client interactions when required

- Knowledge of website platforms and terminology

- Inside sales experience a nice to have

- SaaS experience preferred

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

- Excellent organizational and interpersonal relationship skills

- Quiet, professional workspace environment if working from home

- Reliable, fast Internet (25Mbps down/5Mbps up)
