Express Employment has partnered with a local retail store that is seeking an experienced Sales Associate to be part of their team. This position is a temporary to hire role working a rotating schedule on day/mid shifts, with Sundays off.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Engagement: Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding the perfect jewelry piece to meet their needs and preferences. Build rapport with customers to understand their requirements and provide personalized recommendations.
• Product Knowledge: Develop a comprehensive understanding of our jewelry collections, including materials, craftsmanship, and design elements. Stay updated on new arrivals, promotions, and industry trends to effectively communicate product features and benefits to customers.
• Sales Generation: Proactively engage customers to drive sales and achieve individual and team targets. Utilize effective sales techniques, such as upselling and cross-selling, to maximize revenue opportunities. Process transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale system.
• Visual Merchandising: Maintain the visual appeal of the store by ensuring jewelry displays are organized, clean, and visually appealing. Participate in merchandising activities, including restocking shelves, arranging displays, and highlighting promotional items.
• Customer Service Excellence: Provide exemplary customer service at all times by actively listening to customer inquiries and addressing concerns promptly and professionally. Handle customer complaints or issues with empathy and resolve them to the customer''s satisfaction.
• Store Operations Support: Assist with daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and maintaining cleanliness and tidiness throughout the store. Collaborate with team members to achieve store objectives and foster a positive working environment.

Qualifications:

• Previous retail sales experience, preferably in the jewelry or luxury goods industry.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage and connect with diverse clientele.
• Passion for jewelry and a keen eye for design aesthetics.
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in retail or sales is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
