Full description of the position

We are currently seeking a Major Account Manager who will develop and maintain strong business relationships with our customers and partnered vendors to provide sustainable solutions. The right candidate must be an effective communicator, possess organizational skills, and creative problem-solving skills. In addition, the Major Account Manager must work well in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Successfully preform as a liaison between customers and vendors.
• Build relationships with vendors while handling proposals, contract negotiations, service issues and rate increases.
• Establish and maintain a high level of customer service.
• Propose customer solutions that are both cost effective and compliant to solid waste/recycling ordinances.
• Resolve escalations relating to services or pricing.
• Work closely with other Major Account Managers to ensure optimal department operation.
• Preform other related duties as required or requested.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects, while prioritizing to meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Bachelors degree preferred.
• Previous vendor and customer relations experience preferred.
