Sales of Engineered Products for Industrial Applications

This position is for outside sales; calling on engineers, end users, and contractors throughout Alaska.

The successful candidate is one who will enjoy working with multiple customers on many different projects simultaneously.
In operation since 1967 we are an Anchorage based manufacturers representative and distributor of industrial products. We are seeking a technical sales representative for our product lines which include electric heat trace, industrial battery systems, UPS, unit heaters, Switch gear, relays, control panels and other electrical products. This diverse product offering is sold to all industrial and commercial users throughout the state.
Travel is required throughout Alaska to visit customers along with travel outside the area for training at our manufacturer's facilities.
Qualifications:
Electrical or other engineering degree desired or demonstrated success selling similar products to our primary markets. 5 years of technical sales experience without an engineering degree preferred.
Duties:
-Respond to customer's technical questions related to all products including instrumentation, valve, pump and commercial heat trace products.
-Generate customer quotes and respond to requests for product information
-Daily coordination with inside sales
-Scheduling of regular sales calls to customers and engineers
-Monthly report to Sales Manager and Owner, including: sales calls made, project tracking list, sales call follow up and planning
-Development of yearly sales plan and product development plans
-Attending sales and or product training classes offered by manufacturers
-Manage all customer relations including entertainment
