Full description of the position

We are looking for an Employee Benefits Senior Account Manager

At Poms, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional insurance brokerage services. Our dynamic team offers tailored solutions, ensuring our clients are equipped with the most beneficial coverage for their unique needs. We are looking for a dedicated Employee Benefits Senior Account Manager to strengthen our brokerage offerings and enhance our market position.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Market Analysis: Research and stay updated on the latest trends in the employee benefits landscape to ensure our offerings remain competitive and up to date.
  • Data Management: Utilize strong Excel and analytical skills to compile, manage, and interpret large sets of client and market data.
  • Plan Design & Analysis: Work with our brokerage team to design and recommend employee benefits packages based on the needs of our clients.
  • Client Presentations: Prepare and present RFPs to the carriers and create proposals showcasing the advantages and cost comparisons of various benefits packages.
  • Vendor Relations: Foster and maintain relationships with insurance carriers and other benefits providers, ensuring the best rates and offerings for our clients.
  • Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and analyze the efficiency of our current benefits offerings and processes. Suggest and implement improvements where necessary.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including sales, customer service, and operations, to ensure a seamless service delivery experience for our clients.
  • Compliance: Stay updated on the latest legal and regulatory changes related to employee benefits to ensure that our offerings are compliant.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field preferred.
  • Ideally have at least 5 years of experience in Employee Benefit Marketing.
  • Must possess a strong understanding of health and welfare plan benefits and carriers. This level of expertise is generally acquired through years of experience providing group health and benefits sales or service while at a brokerage or carrier.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, with the ability to handle complex datasets, pivot tables, and advanced formulas.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and present data effectively.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid interpersonal skills with the ability to foster strong relationships both internally and externally.
  • Familiarity with the latest insurance products, carriers, and market trends.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with a strong focus on accuracy.

Salary Range is $90,000-$110,000 annually, inclusive of incentive compensation. This is a hybrid position and would require commuting to our Calabasas office 2 days a week.
