Brock DeVries Agency of American Family Insurance is looking for a positive, motivated individual to join their top performing team as a full time Sales Representative in Ramsey, MN.

High School Diploma
Associate or bachelors degree preferred but not required
A successful candidate must obtain property & casualty insurance licenses within agreed time of hiring offer (30 Days) & life license (90 days from original hire date)
A candidate does not officially start until they are licensed.
Primary Job Functions & Activities:
Sales Related: The Primary role of the Sales Specialist is to sell auto, home, and life insurance within the Twin Cities. Here are a few of those activities:
o Make proactive outbound calls and receive inbound calls in an effort to quote and bind auto, home, and life insurance
o Follow up with and meet with new business prospects to make new business presentations
o Build networking relationships
o Execute new business presentations
o Assist agent with quoting personal lines insurance
o Follow up with customers after sales to complete the sales process
o Assist with building relationships with referral partners (mortgage lenders, real estate agents, etc)
o Maintain product knowledge for all lines of business and products written
o Create brokerage quotes & applications, especially those with Foremost, Progressive, and American Modern
o Visit properties of homes for field underwriting and take photos of properties
o Cross-sell while assisting current customers
Service Related: While the primary role is sales, the sales specialist will assist with a portion of service-related work.
o Assist with incoming phone calls
o Help with billing issues and policy transactions
o Other items to deliver outstanding customer experience
Career Paths: There are three potential career paths associated with this position if the performance of the applicant merited progression over time:
1. Line Sales Manager: This person would help build a sales team and be responsible for team salesgoals.
2. Storefront Manager: Brock DeVries Agency will expand to other areas of the State of Minnesota. If youd like to be a manager of a location, but not incur the expense or risk of agency ownership, you could be a storefront manager.
3. Future Agency Owner: If you know that you would like to run your own business with your own team but dont believe you currently have the skills or capital this is a great path. This candidate would seek their own agency (outside of markets we operate in) after a 2-to-3-year apprentice - mentorship program.

Compensation & Benefits:
A successful candidate will make over $50,000 with base, commission, and bonus. Driven candidates can make up to $100,000 per year.
