Full description of the position

This is a remote position (with travel expectations up to 75% of the time).

LBX Company LLC, maker of Link-Belt excavators, forestry, demolition, and scrap/material handling equipment, has an immediate opening for a Finance Territory Manager.

Position Summary:

The Finance Territory Manager is responsible for developing sales and for directing all sales activities for assigned LBX Capital dealers and end-users in their respective region(s). This role is directly responsible for achieving LBX Capitals purpose with each of the assigned dealers. The incumbent employs sales strategies to support LBXs Retail goals, dealer market penetration and LBX Capital financial goals. This position is responsible for sales to meet assigned plans and volume goals.

The Finance Territory Manager works closely with the Program Manager to promote an entrepreneurial environment of collaboration to build a sustainable captive finance program to increase LBX share of market by strengthening distribution, increase dealer share of mind, and to be closer to the customer.

This position also plays a critical role in the expansion of LBX Capitals dealer sales penetration and finance volumes. To achieve these goals, this position will work alongside the LBX Program Manager and the General Manager to support the expansion of LBX Capital.

Essential Functions:

50 % - Fostering Relationships With Dealers and End-user Customers

  • Execute the LBX Capital Sales plans based on NARs sales forecasts. Leverage LBX Sales and Marketing and Dealer management to drive market penetration and achieve assigned volume goals.
  • Work with Dealer Management to develop, train, and promote programs which support the LBX Capital Purpose while achieving sales volumes as assigned. Ensure operational alignment between LBX, LBX distribution and support to the dealer network.
  • Improve forecasted results by identifying opportunities and risks.
  • Initiate improvement plans to improve finance volumes and enhance dealer results.
  • Provide dealer training on LBX Capital products to foster sales confidence.
  • Assist dealer sales personnel with selling LBX products and LBX Capital financial tools to end customers. Work with dealer sales personnel and customers on structuring finance transactions that support the sale of the machine while providing consultive selling techniques to build trust and long-term relations with our customer base.
  • Keep abreast of competitive market environment:
  • Research into how machines are being financed in the industry including the LBX Dealer network.
  • Stay updated on market Interest Rates, Special Offers, financial products, delinquencies, and economic forecasts throughout the entire LBX Capital portfolio.

25% - Achievement of Financial Results (Profitability & Debt)

  • Implement interest rates offered to LBX Customers to support the following goals: 1) Secure the sale of Link-Belt products, 2) Risk Based pricing, 3) Profitability of Syndicating and 3) Profitability of retaining loan internally.
  • Ensure LBX Capital internal portfolio maintains a balanced risk profile that supports long term profitability, sound credit decisions, and riskier transactions are structured to mitigate losses.
  • Implement the Residual Value matrixes for leases when quoted.
  • Support the daily management of delinquencies of LBX Capital internal and syndicated portfolios.
  • Assist, as needed, remarketing of repossessed machines and lease returns to maximize price realization for LBX equipment in the used equipment markets.

10% - Collection and Management of LBX Capital Customer Intelligence

  • Support the collection and analyzation of customer intelligence. Gather customer data points that provide insights into the machine sales cycle of customers that support dealer shares of mind and market intelligence and report information to LBX internally and SCM management.

10% - Implement and Improve LBX Capital Processes and Procedures

  • Assist with implementing systems aligned with LBX Capital processes and initiatives which will support future growth.
  • Driving process improvements toward deal structures, credit quality, and credit to cash supporting dealer satisfaction.
  • Supporting LBX Capitals initiatives to drive support changes to processes that drive dealer and customer satisfaction results.

5% - Miscellaneous Tasks

  • Perform special studies and prepare presentations as requested.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent collaboration skills and a proven team player.
  • Highly organized, self-starter, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects and deadlines simultaneously and meet communicated deadlines.
  • Must work with minimal direct supervision and is expected to work independently based on the goals and strategies of the organization.

  • Must adhere to company policies and procedures and possess unquestionable integrity.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree preferred, or ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of equivalent work experience.
  • Master of Business Administration is desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of equipment finance experience.
  • Strong communication skills including written, verbal, and listening skills. Able to communicate complex financial information effectively to varying audience levels.
  • Experience working with the Japanese culture preferred.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None, but leadership is required.

  • Strong accounting and finance background allowing the company to be compliant with current accounting rules and regulations.
  • An understanding of the business, allowing the incumbent to advise the CEO and Senior Staff on actions to enhance and improve the business.
  • Leads changes required to improve the efficiency, the timeliness and the accuracy of financial reporting activities while supporting the company business objectives.

Travel Expectations:

  • This role can expect to travel up to 75% of the time both domestically and internationally. Travel expectations are 2 to 3 weeks per month, including overnight and potentially weekend.

  • This position requires spending time in a seated position while working at a computer station for extended periods of time. Work also requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, hearing, talking and lifting (up to 50 pounds).
