Full description of the position

Design Consultant/Sales

1. Greet Customers in showroom.
2. Establish rapport with customers and determine project needs.
3. Assist customers in selecting appropriate materials for their projects.
4. Price customers selections and type customer invoices.
5. Write purchase orders and order materials.
6. Answer phones.
7. Assist Co-workers with special projects as required.
8. Assist with showroom maintenance including cleaning, putting away samples after customers leave, and reorganize the showroom when new samples arrive.

Skills required:

• Prior Tile Showroom experience strongly preferred.
• Design degree or experience strongly preferred.
• Prior customer focused higher end retail work experience strongly preferred.
• General typing skills.
• Strong math skills.
• Basic knowledge of Excel preferred.
• Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Able to lift a minimum of 30lbs regularly and 50lbs on occasion.
• Good sense of color, and scale preferred.
• Upbeat, positive attitude.
• Enthusiastic and self-motivated.
• SATURDAY HOURS REQUIRED.

• 8 hour shift
