About Us: We are a family-owned business company specializing in the sale of wrought iron work, including Spanish lighting fixtures, railings, firescreens, doors, gates, repairs, and accessories. We are seeking a dedicated Store Clerk/Sales Representative who is willing to learn to join our team and provide excellent customer service to our clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in a retail setting and a passion for working with customers as well as the ability to close deals.
Position: Sales Representative/Store Clerk
Job Description:
The Sales Representative is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers to promote Flores Hardware & Lighting Incs products and services. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key customers, including distributors, retailers, and other business partners. The Sales Representative will be responsible for prospecting for new business and working with the Marketing Team to create and execute sales events.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome and greet customers as they enter the store
- Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions to meet their requirements.
- Provide information about our products and services to customers
- Process transactions using our point-of-sale system
- Maintain a clean and organized store/working environment
- Help with inventory management and restocking of products
- Create, print, and process quotes/invoices using Quickbooks
- Upload appropriate information and documentation to Quickbooks
- Make appointments for the store owner
- Maintain good communication with clients via email or phone about work orders and appointments
- Answer phone calls, emails, and sort files
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient store operations
- Work directly with the store owner
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
- Negotiate pricing and terms of sale to close deals and achieve sales targets.
Qualifications:
High school diploma
- Associates degree (preferred)
- Prior experience in a retail or customer service role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Attention to detail and accuracy in processing transactions
- Proficiency with basic computer skills and point-of-sale systems
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn about our products and services
- Ability to send professional emails and respond in a timely manner
- Ability to read invoices and office documents
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
