As a Flooring Sales Consultant, your primary duties involve meeting customers either in-store or at their location, overseeing all aspects of their flooring projectfrom initial consultation and measurement to product selection, quotation, and ensuring ongoing customer satisfaction throughout the installation process. Collaboration with our installation team and project coordinators will be essential to ensure a seamless end-to-end experience, delivering beautiful flooring that exceed customer expectations and lead to a five-star experience.

Objectives of this role
- Engage with customers in-store or on-location to understand their flooring needs, preferences, and budget constraints while mastering organizational scripts and adhering to established sales processes.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and performance metrics set by the company, utilizing CRM software to track progress and manage leads effectively.
- Actively engage in business development activities, including prospecting new clients, identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling, and expanding the customer base through networking and outreach efforts.
- Ensure accurate and efficient documentation of each project and sale from start to finish utilizing RFMS. Ensure all required fields are complete.
- Ensure that jobs are finished, correct and all costs and line items accounted for before closing.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- This position does not supervise others.
Job Duties:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the various flooring products available, including their features, benefits, and suitability for different applications.
- Utilize effective sales techniques and organizational scripts to guide customers through the selection process and convert inquiries into sales, ensuring adherence to the established sales process.
- Accurately measure spaces and provide precise estimates for flooring materials and installation costs.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process, addressing any concerns or questions promptly and professionally, while maintaining excellence in using CRM software to track customer interactions, preferences, and marketing campaign data.
- Coordinate with installation teams and project coordinators to ensure seamless project execution, including scheduling, delivery, and installation.
- Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with customers to foster repeat business and referrals, leveraging CRM software to maintain detailed customer profiles and communication history.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and installation techniques to enhance expertise and better serve customers.
- Solicit feedback from customers to identify areas for improvement and contribute to ongoing process enhancements within the sales and installation teams.
- Attend company and vendor sponsored training seminars to continually enhance industry education.
- Assist in non-selling responsibilities of the showroom. Including cleaning, tagging, inventorying, straightening of samples, appropriate book work, and ensuring an efficient and safe showroom for both clients and employees.
- Ensure accurate and efficient documentation of each project and sale from start to finish utilizing RFMS. Ensure all required fields are complete.

Preferred skills and qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in flooring
- Project management experience
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Position involves a combination of office work, on-site warehouse work, and on-site activity in construction situations.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate to noisy.
- Physical Work Ability to exert 30 60 pounds of force occasionally, and or 20-30 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Travel
- Required to travel to customers place of business/homes and well as to various company locations.
Salary
- Commission with guarantee, targeted annual compensation $60,000-125,000 on sales goal.
