Full description of the position

Hoffmann Filter Corporation is currently recruiting for a Technical Sales Engineer that is a talented and motivated individual looking for a challenging opportunity to work in a small, cooperative organization. This role is ideal for recent or soon-to-be graduates who are looking an opportunity to help grow our business in our sales department and also have a technical background.

You will need to work well both within our existing team, and also be motivated to build meaningful relationships with existing customers; and foster new relationships with new customers. You must be organized, driven, and be able to prioritize and multi-task as you work on several projects at the same time.

Identify new customers and opportunities

Build successful internal and external customer relationships

Work independently without daily supervision, but remain responsive to company management requests for assignments and account intelligence

Become very knowledgeable of organizational product lines, striving to become a resource for solutions and customer inquisitions

Develop and follow a business sales plan that promotes continued growth and meets or exceeds sales goals.

Travel up to 40%

Demonstrate effective organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities, have an acute attention to detail, the ability to receive direction, and be a high energy team player with the ability to work both independently and in a group environment

Other duties as required

Bachelors Degree in BSME, BSEE, Marketing, or related field

3-5 years of professional experience a bonus (Industrial and Manufacturing highly preferred)

Strong project and relationship management ability required

Technical expertise with condensers, chillers, cooling towers, heat exchangers, pumps, fluid dynamics, specialty chemicals, filtration systems, ultra filtration, deionization, valves, and instrumentation

Solid mechanical or electromechanical aptitude

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Any Pertinent Certifications, Computer Program Experience, or Device/Machine Specific Experience

Hoffmann Filter Corporation was founded in 1984 when Georg Hoffmann decided to expand his German filtration company, Hoffmann Maschinen-und Apparatebau, into the United States.

With the quick success of Hoffmann Filter Corporation as a sales office in Novi, MI, we began manufacturing Precoat Filters in 1985. The product line continued to grow, and Hoffmann Filter moved to a larger facility in Wixom, MI. However, the rising popularity of Hoffmann filters in the United States caused the company to outgrow the facility in only five years, and so in late 1996, Hoffmann Filter moved to Brighton, MI where we are currently headquartered.

Today, thousands of filters later, Hoffmann Filter Corporation has plenty of room to manufacture top-quality filters. Our facility now boasts 45,000 square feet of manufacturing space that allows us to continuously push our limits in filter production.
