Full description of the position

We are an established building material supply company looking for a front counter salesperson with superior customer service skills to join our team. This opportunity is a full-time year-round position. The showroom is open Mon-Fri 6-4 with your weekends off. The ideal candidate will have an outgoing and friendly demeanor. We are looking for a candidate that is fluent in both Spanish and English. Working knowledge of the building material industry is a plus. We also would like to see solid organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.

Duties to include but not limited to:

Customer service

Assist Walk-in customers by answering questions. greeting customers by name and upselling items as needed

Receive and process will call orders via walk-in, phone, text or email in computer

Load customer vehicles on will calls

Keep counter/showroom/mudroom neat and organized

Keep shelves stocked

Notify Purchasing of any shortages or low inventories

Inventory Control

Count and maintain inventory for showroom and surrounding area

Assist yardmen with inventory and organization

Assist with shipping/receiving discrepancies

Forklift

Load customers

Unload some inbound materials if needed

Physical Ability

Sitting for extended periods of time

Physical Mobility (bending, stooping, twisting, pulling, and carrying material)

Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs. throughout the day.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 50 per week
