Hospital Sales Representative

Job Profile Summary:

The Hospital Sales Representative will be a vital member of a new sales organization that will work on behalf of our client, i-Health, to achieve sales goals for Culturelle and AZO within hospitals/IDNs and LTC. The Hospital Sales Representative must be able to navigate IDNs as well as smaller regional hospitals and bring experience in account/system sales.

The sales territory consists of the 5 boroughs of NYC.

Job Description:

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Achieve territory sales goals by promoting Culturelle to healthcare provides, administrators, and other decision-makers and influencers within hospitals/health systems within an assigned sales territory.
  • Educate customers on the clinical use, characteristics, advantages, indicated treatments and all other developments related to Culturelle.
  • Professionally represent i-Health in the field and ensure high levels of visibility and customer satisfaction in territory.
  • Maintain effective communication and relationships with key external and internal customers.
  • Effectively promote/educate targeted hospital-based physicians/HCPs on the use of i-Health' products through one-on-one meetings, group presentations, and via other company-approved means.
  • Manage scientific discussions with pharmacy department heads.
  • Work 5 days in the field each week, supported by office time as needed for call planning, customer follow-up, preparing presentations, making appointments, report generation, etc.
  • Ensure high performance levels of call and field productivity.
  • Meet Call Plan expectations and achieve territory product sales goals while adhering to ethical sales practices, compliance guidelines, and required promotional regulations.
  • Execute company-approved territory/regional business plan activities.
  • Support targeted customers using company-approved resources, sales materials, and promotional activities/programs/initiatives.
  • Ensure optimum territory sales strategy execution using annual territory business plan, regional business plan, and call activity reports.
  • Expected to accurately report/submit sales call activities in Salesforce CRM and within deadline as defined by i-Health or the Regional Sales Manager.
  • This position is responsible for achieving both territory product sales goals and territory sales activity goals through company defined metrics.

Qualifications

  • Exhibits strong level of skill in competencies.
  • BA/BS degree.
  • Prior hospital/IDN sales experience is strongly preferred.
  • Prior clinical experience valued, i.e., RN, nutrition.
  • Prior nutrition or probiotic experience valued.
  • Strong performance management skills and ability to close performance gaps to improve individuals' abilities and aptitudes.
  • High level of clinical and business acumen and demonstrated learning agility.
  • Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Prior Salesforce CRM experience preferred.

Travel

  • Some travel and attendance for regional and national meetings and conferences.
