*SUMMARY

* Plans, budget, oversee and document all aspects of the technical projects which includes customer and product requirements are developed and successfully met with correspondence to companys engineering, operation and supply chain.

Responsible for managing key initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing processes; develops and implements project plans; builds team ownership and commitment to project plan.

*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES *include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1).Coordinating internal resources and vendors for the flawless execution of projects. Ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.

2).Technical Program Manager will be responsible for leadership of product development projects and related work stream activities. The scope of projects includes all product support activities from Quote to the end of product life for multiple concurrent products.

3). Key executioner with design engineering in new product introduction. Owner of the manufacturing readiness into the supply chain teams and plants. Key elements of that are: manufacturing process technology evaluation and roadmap, determining the factory build location decision, validating mfg process readiness, launch plan completion, process qualification and validation.

4). Responsible for New Product Introduction. Conduct studies on Manufacturing Design test and specification, design for manufacturing studies while utilizing lean and process engineering principles.

5). Create quote, engineering master and process routing to formulate processing and pricing. Communicate to customers estimates of costing and delivery. Ensure that all quotes are submitted within deadlines dictated by the customer. Ensure the price quoted maintains the targeted gross margin for the Company.

6).Act as a customer liaison, travel to customer sites, collaborate with customer R&D group on developing new products.

7). Manage prototype orders to ensure customer design objectives are met while achieving Atlas margin targets.

8). Carries out process improvement, problem resolution, project management and employee training. Improves manufacturing processes and methods for cost-reduction, quality improvement and efficiency. Performs research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment.

9). Identify, communicate, and manage moderate levels of technical risk. Create mitigation plans for risk in project before product execution.

10). Act as the customer liaison for all quality rejects. Works closely with the customer and Operations to resolve any quality issues.

11). Performs other related duties as assigned.

*QUALIFICATIONS

*EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

* Bachelor's Degree - Required, (Masters Degree preferred) in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering, or three to six years related experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior Experience in Sheet Metal Fabrication is preferred.

*LANGUAGE SKILLS

* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the shop floor. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, blueprints, G D & T, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to effectively present information to top management and groups of employees. Must be able to read, write, and speak English sufficiently to communicate with all levels of the organization.

*MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

* Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

*REASONING ABILITY

* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

*CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

* Valid MN Drivers License to visit suppliers and vendors..

*OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

* Must be computer literate. Working knowledge of Visual Manufacturing and Microsoft office,

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
