Full description of the position

Liquid Process Equipment (LPE) distributes fluid handling equipment across multiple industries, including, but limited to sanitary process equipment, food and beverage, personal care, chemical, industrial, wastewater, oil and gas, and pulp and paper. LPE is headquartered in Eagle, WI and represents industry leaders in fluid handling technology. We can service all supplied equipment through our 50,000-square-foot rebuild and service facility in Kaukauna, WI. LPE has been in business for over 20 years and was started by professionals who know the business. With well over 100 years of combined experience in the industry, our team includes 5 fluid systems engineers, alongside our dedicated sales force, who come together to provide you with the responsiveness, knowledge, and experience that is expected in todays marketplace.

We are currently seeking an Outside Sales Engineer to join our dynamic sales team. This is a great opportunity to be part of our continued growth journey and to be a contributor to our overall success!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Proactively seeks and develops new business opportunities within assigned territory.
  • Actively calls on existing customers to foster growth and opportunity.
  • Plans and executes 8 10 Customer Sales Calls per Week
  • Identifies and targets potential clients within the assigned territory with a focus on process engineers, procurement, and maintenance managers, through research, cold calls, networking.
  • Develops a thorough understanding of customers business goals and objectives, operating systems, and manufacturing processes.
  • Develops and executes strategies to generate a consistent pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities, emphasizing our ability to solve complex problems with high-value products and services.
  • Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with decision-makers: making initial contact, introducing Company's product offering, and developing a rapport to identify customer needs.
  • Develops and maintains key customer contacts and activities for assigned accounts using Salesforce CRM.
  • Reviews customer activities monthly with Sales Manager and strategizing ways to maximize sales volumes and territory revenue growth.
  • Produces sales and gross margin growth to meet and exceed annual goals.
  • Complete audits of customers process equipment to identify opportunities for service, repair and replacement.
  • Increases market share for the products we represent within a defined geographical territory.
  • Develops new relationships within existing customers.
  • Completes company & factory training sessions to develop product knowledge.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong customer focus with the ability to initiate, develop, and maintain relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Experience in fluid handling equipment and engineered equipment sales a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Outlook
  • Proactive, high energy and entrepreneurial; goal oriented and driven to exceed sales targets.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at once and prioritize accordingly.
  • Ability to develop thorough understanding of primary product offerings.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business or related field
  • 5+ years experience in outside sales/account management

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel to customer facilities for sales calls.
  • Must be able to lift to 50lbs occasionally.
