Required Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma
- Associate or Bachelors degree preferred but not required
- A successful candidate must obtain property & casualty insurance licenses within agreed time of hiring offer (30 Days) & life license (90 days from original hire date)
- A candidate does not officially start until they are licensed.
Primary Job Functions & Activities:
- Sales Related: The Primary role of the Family Risk Advisor is to sell auto, home (H06), and life insurance within our marketing area. There is a heavy focus on condo customers. Here are a few of those activities:
- Make proactive outbound calls and receive inbound calls to quote and bind auto, home, and life insurance
- Create a database of coverages for each association we are working with
- Become an expert at reading an association declaration and understanding coverage needs
- Follow up with and meet with new business prospects to make new business presentations
- Execute new business presentations
- Assist team with quoting personal lines insurance
- Follow up with customers after sales to complete the sales process
- Assist with building relations with referral partners (association managers, mortgage lenders, real estate agents, etc.)
- Maintain product knowledge for all lines of business and products written
- Cross-sell while assisting current customers
- Service Related:
- Rate Changes
- Claims issues & questions
- Assist with income phone calls
- Help with billing issues and policy transactions
- Conduct Personal Insurance Reviews
- Other items to deliver outstanding customer experience
Career Paths: There are three potential career paths associated with this positionif the performance of the applicant merited progression over time:
- Line Sales Manager: This person would help build a sales team and be responsible for team sales goals.
- Specialized Sales Lead: The Steve Weidenbach Agency has continued to grow as specialists in sales of particular products. The more specialized the more successful we have become.
- Future Agency Owner: If you know that you would like to run your own business with your own team but dont believe you currently have the skills or capital this is a great path. This candidate would seek their own agency (outside of markets we operate in) after a 2-to-3-year mentorship program.

Compensation & Benefits:
- A successful candidate will make $44,000 to $50,000 with base, commission, and bonus in year one
- Base Salary is $36,000-39,000
- Employer Paid Health Insurance, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance
- Paid Time Off (PTO)
- Paid Volunteer Time Off (VTO)
Schedule:
- Monday through Thursday: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
- Friday: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Weekend events 1 to 2 times per year
