Irwin Car and Equipment is known for delivering exceptional quality and customized precision in the metal, mining, tunneling, energy, industrial, and transportation industries. An engineering and manufacturing company that specializes in designing industry-leading customized industrial material handling equipment and systems that is cost effective without compromising on the rugged quality. Products include steel wheels of all sizes, axles and truck assemblies, supply cars, trailers and buckets, automated guided vehicles, and many others.

Our manufacturing operations are located at a 90,000 square-foot facility in Irwin, PA (near Pittsburgh), and at our 50,000 square-foot facility in Blairsville, PA.

We operate warehouses in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Illinois, Alabama, Utah, and Virginia allowing us to provide fast and convenient service.

Sales calls with customers via phone and in person.

Generate/Qualify leads, develop sales proposals/quotes, close sales

Identify new opportunities

Serve as a point of contact with customers/vendors in your region

Maintain and Manage customer relationships

Manage sales orders and product for shipments.

Project sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing annual budget

Problem solving and initiating corrective actions

Regional travel

Participate in/assist with Trade Shows

Skills/Experience:

Knowledge of the Rail/Transit, and Industrial industry

Background in Electrical Motors, Gearboxes, and Generator Repair

Mechanical aptitude

Great verbal and written communication skills

Previous experience managing customer accounts a plus

High school diploma or equivalent required
