Summary: The Inside Sales Specialist position has been established to manage the commercial functions for Paragon Metals current and potential customers as well as strategize Paragons position in the market. This position will work with both new and existing suppliers to enhance the relationship and ensure open lines of communication. In addition, this position will be responsible for the internal communications necessary to maintain customer accounts are supported in a timely manner and kept current. This position will help ensure the most effective utilization Paragon resources throughout the life cycle of each product.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
The below duties have been reviewed in relationship to our company Quality Policy (SEASQCP). This position will be required to comply with Paragon Document Control Procedures and may have additional responsibilities as defined the Department Manager.
Safety:
Become familiar with and adhere to Paragon safety requirements
Comply with customer and supplier safety requirements
Employee Development:
Be willing to work cross functionally with other departments within the organization to further understanding of overall business structure and success
Be willing to support customer training sessions
Participate in 3rd Party Seminars, Events, and Forums to gain market knowledge (i.e. OESA, Town Halls)
APQP:
Support Paragon internal & customer launch requirements
Quality:
General understanding of customer blueprints and customer part quality requirements
Evaluate the commercial impact, if any, for all quality requirements and specifications
Continual Improvement:
Assisting with the continued growth and sustainment of Paragon sales
Supporting the goals and objectives for the sales team as provided by the President and Sales Manager
Profitability:
Secure year or year sales growth with current and new customer base in support of the goals and objectives as provided by the President and Sales Manager
Recover of any outstanding payables with customer base
General Skills:
Excellent administrative, clerical, record-keeping and computing skills are essential.
Employees must also demonstrate attention to detail to issue clear instructions and communications to other departments, when applicable.
The Inside Sales Specialist must have good interpersonal skills to deal with customers and collaborate with other departments in the company, including sales, production, accounting, engineering, program management, and distribution.
Possess excellent etiquette and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of both Paragon Metals and the customer base.
Firm understanding of manufacturing processes utilized within the industry and Paragon Metals.
Focused Skills/Requirements
Entering New RFQs, quote revisions, and customer commentary
Input and Track all customer drawings, models, specifications, timing, and program information
Establish cross-functional Contract Review Meetings for all received Purchase Orders and incoming, new specifications
Maintain Internal Sales Documents
Document and support all required customer meetings and Paragon Metals support activities related to accounts
Access to all relevant customer remote sights and portals (i.e. eSupplyConnect; SupplyOn; Magna eRFX, etc.) to be notified and pulldown RFQs/Purchase Orders/Specifications
Support accounting/finance with Monthly Material and Energy adjustments, where applicable.
Utilize IHS Monthly Production Reports and analytics to fully understand forecasted production of current product and potential business opportunities
Assist the Sales Manager with Marketing items such as presentations and trade shows
Quotation follow-up with customers for next steps
Ability to understand a Program/Project GANTT chart
Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
Min. Requirements:
Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in business administration, engineering, sales or relevant field.
Two (2) years of experience in Automotive Sales and Engineering providing solutions based on customer needs and requirements.
Strong Computer Skills: Excel, Word & PowerPoint, Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Plex ERP Helpful
Working with internal/external customer and communication skills are required; and the ability to multi-task and work well with other departments within the organization (Accounting, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Engineering).
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to problem solve and negotiate with the customer.
- Integrity requires being honest and ethical.
- Stress Tolerance requires accepting criticism and dealing calmly and effectively with high stress situations internally and with customer base.
- Primary language is English requires proficiency both verbal and written.
- Ability to deal with problems in a professional manner.

Occupational Demands: This is primarily an office-based position (standard office environment) with several hours of continuous seated work. This position is a very dynamic with a requirement for working independently. This position will require occasional support of early morning or late evening conference calls in support of our offshore supply chain business as well as Global Customers. Offsite travel & overnight stays will be required on occasion for customer account support. Individual must also be willing to spend time within our production manufacturing environment to become familiar with our products and processes to ensure product knowledge and customer product applications.
