Cabrillo Management Corporation ([please apply online] specializes managing high quality manufactured housing communities and RV communities in the western United States. Cabrillo has acquired approximately 2,700 +/- spaces in California, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Montana over the past 10 years. Cabrillo is growing and there is an immediate need for a driven employee to help manage the diverse assets in its portfolio.
Cabrillo Management is currently looking for an onsite Manufactured Housing Dealer Salesperson. We are looking to sell 15-20 new manufactured homes each year (~$150-225k value). The right candidate's primary responsibility is to manage the sales process while providing excellent customer service. The salesperson continuously sources new customers, helps customers find and locate their next home within the community, and ensure a smooth sales process.
General job duties include answering phone calls promptly, arranging onsite home tours, greeting potential buyers, building relationships, and being an excellent host or hostess, all while providing an informative tour of available homes. This includes giving details about the park, new home ordering process (if applicable), the benefits of the community, lot sizes, floor plan options, mortgage programs, customization, and more.
You are a salesperson, so its important to create urgency while showing off the best features of the homes and community. Following up is imperative for this job, as well as handling any complaints, researching competition, and conducting market research. After the sale, you assist with settlement to help buyers adjust to their new home.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary contact for customer throughout entire home-buying process;
- Greet potential customers in a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner;
- Provide information to potential customers and later follow up with their interest in buying;
- Convert a potential customer into a buying customer;
- Consistent lead follow-up to grow the sales pipeline
- Hold buyer and seller consultations to find out their needs and wants in a home, then find a home to meet those needs
- Oversee the process from listing to closing to ensure a quick and seamless transaction experience
- Overcome objections and closes for the sale
- Maintain accurate documentation of transaction from sale through loan, options, and construction
- Continually source new sales opportunities
- Create and provides to management a marketing plan for establishing new customer relationships
- Network and perform outreach to outside realtors
- Develop and maintain good rapport with prospective customers, realtors, and team members
- Manage time efficiently, meet sales goals and work effectively with other members of the team
- Maintain and expands database of prospects
- Attend sales meetings (as required)
- Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
- Execute policies to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Keep up to date with local rental comparisons and knowledge of the park and the surrounding community
- Report to upper management daily and record all metrics in company CRM system
New Homes Sales
- Write up purchase order to satisfaction of customer and Cabrillo Management;
- Sit with a customer to spec out all requirements for the home (size, configuration, finishes, appliances, accessories and so on);
- Work closely with the factory while creating the specifications for the home;
- Collaborate with our construction project manager to establish and provide for all utility and access requirements for the home in either a park community or on private property;
- Collaborate with construction project manager to establish and provide for other components of the project such as garage, carport, deck, shed, driveway, utilities;
- Collaborate with our construction project manager to schedule activities to meet the project completion date;
- Inspect the workmanship of completed home prior to close of escrow
Qualifications
- A proven record in manufactured housing sales.
- 5+ years in Mobile Home Dealership or Sales experience (THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE REAL ESTATE LICENSED ACTIVITY)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experience in CRM software
- Ability to provide their own transportation
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form
- Ability to stand and walk for 4 hours straight or up to a full 8-hour day; sit for extended periods; kneel and bend at the waist; walk up and down stairs; walk on unlevel terrain; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision ability required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and peripheral vision
- Regular exposure to outside weather conditions. The noise level is generally moderate
- This position requires a minimum of 40 hours/week. Office time may be assigned to ensure adequate salesperson coverage. Must be flexible to work some weekends.

- Some construction knowledge helpful;

- Willingness and ability to use computer for scheduling, tracking, and communicating.
