Full description of the position

We currently have a contract opportunity in the Sales & Use Compliance Tax group.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This role will handle sales and use tax compliance, and the preparation of monthly sales tax returns, which involves taking information from various data sources, processing through an internal software.
  • Preparing and validating a high volume of sales tax returns
  • Analyze data sets of varying degrees of complexity and troubleshoot inconsistencies using various processing documentation and methodologies.
    • Leverage our internally developed processing software containing various exception points where a user will have to problem solve and perform some level of analysis and critical thinking.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in accounting preferred
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills due to significant client interaction and the ability to work in-office in Irvine and Nashville as needed
  • Must be able to work with tight deadlines and quick turnaround times
  • Technical Skills: Excel pivot tables; Access a plus

This position pays $23 per hour for all contractors, this rate is fixed and non-negotiable.
