Full description of the position

Position Summary

The Account Executive executes sales strategy, initiating contact with existing and potential customers, identify their advertising needs and sell appropriate advertising packages in print and/or digital formats. . This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for technology sales and a proven track record in business development.

Essential Functions

1. Responsible for identifying and successfully pursuing new sales opportunities by, among other things, making presentation to existing and prospective clients.

2. Required to keep accurate and up-to-date daily records of all prospects and customers in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System as this information is intellectual property of the company.

3. Must ensure that every advertising sales contract is properly executed, by the customer and the company, and the credit applications are completed and received for each new account.

4. Responsible for servicing clients with respect to closing deals and when necessary assist with the print and ad layout and production processes, including but not limited to coordinating and ensuring delivery and pick-up of art work and other materials, delivering copies of relevant publication(s) to his/her customers and resolving customer disputes.

5. Responsible for assisting with collections when necessary on each account for which he/she is responsible. Account executives must exercise due diligence and best efforts to ensure that all accounts are paid in full.

6. Meet budgeted revenue and expense goals.

7. Prepare and maintain records and reports as needed

8. Strategic planning with publisher to achieve sales expectations.

9. Help develop and implement special programs to meet sales objectives.

10. Help publisher in developing successful sales campaigns based on market research.

11. Cultivate effective business relationships with executive decision makers for key accounts.

12. Maintain an active account list, maintain a sufficient sales pipeline to achieve revenue goals and establish and maintain client relationships.

Education/Skills Requirements

College degree or equivalent work experience, preferably in print and digital media sales; Proficiency with Microsoft Office products; Social media skills; Customer service skills; Time and organizational management skills.

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is routinely required to sit, stand, walk, present, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and effectively speak and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds with or without assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
