Full description of the position

Dec Group is seeking US Sales Engineers for the East Coast and Midwest regions. Founded in 1987 with its headquarters based in Switzerland, DEC Group, Dietrich Engineering Consultants is a leader in the design and production of powder transfer equipment in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry. Thanks to its know-how, DEC has experienced strong international expansion and is active worldwide through its subsidiaries in Europe, the United States, China, and India. Summary

The Sales Engineer is responsible for identifying and securing new project opportunities within a given geographic territory in the United States. The individual strengthens relationships with existing customers, seeks new opportunities and acquires new customers. Customer interaction involves face-to-face meetings, facility audits, and technical presentations at customer site. The Sales Engineer works closely with the back-office team to establish proposal strategies and prepare for smooth project executions upon award.

Responsibilities

  • Sell Dec products and services by managing and developing customer accounts
  • Prospect and approach new customers to reach/exceed sales objectives
  • Prepare visit reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information
  • Negotiate and secure contracts
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships by providing support, information, and advice
  • Maintain a monthly updated sales forecast
  • Represent the company at trade shows to promote products and increase brand awareness

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, Engineering degree preferred
  • Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of prior experience in a similar role with a well-established network of contacts in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries
  • Ability to persuasively demonstrate the features and benefits of Dec products
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • This position requires regular travel within North America and sometimes Europe. Willing to travel up to 75% nationwide is a requirement.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $51,332.88 - $128,046.93 per year
