The Tampa office of Benchmark International is now seeking business professionals to join our Deal Origination team. This position involves research and outreach to middle-market sized businesses in the United States to attract business owners interested in exiting or growing their company. This position is an entry level position to a career in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and offers plenty of opportunities to grow within the company.

If you are interested in a fast-paced, dynamic, and rewarding role then this is the position for you. This role will allow you to learn about the M&A process from beginning to end so that you can educate business owners on current market trends and what to expect through the sales process.

Benchmark International continues growing and this role contributes directly to the growth of the entire company. As an entry-level position, you will not be expected to have any particular M&A knowledge but must have a keen interest in growing your knowledge-base in this exciting field of business. You will have a chance to learn from some of the most experienced and successful deal makers in the industry to improve your skills and advance your career.

Job Responsibilities

Within this role you will be working alongside other outreach specialists to target business owners within an assigned region under the direction of a Team Lead. You will be provided with data to contact but will be required to self source data when directed to target specific businesses. Team Lead is the next logical step in the advancement of your career along with other opportunities.

Your specific duties will include:

• Calling business owners that match the demand from buyers within the middle market.
• Sending emails to potential clients to display proof of Benchmark International's success and recent market activity.
• Setting appointments between potential clients and our Deal Origination Directors to discuss sales process and valuation.
• Researching various market trends to educate business owners within specific industries on recent M&A activity and rationale for acquisitions.
• Identifying the correct decision makers in an organization to assure communications remain confidential.
• Maintaining communication records and preparing reports of results.
• Discovering challenges for potential clients and presenting solutions.
• Meeting or exceeding all sales and performance goals.
• Ability to build rapport and convey confidence.
• Perform omni-channel outreach.
• Market to and educate business owners.
• Understand, and effectively deliver, Benchmark Internationals value proposition.
• Assist with meeting coordination.

• This position will be marketed towards our California clients. Hours of operation for this specific listing is Monday - Thursday 10AM ET - 7PM ET and Friday 8:30AM ET - 5:30PM ET.

Compensation

As a member of the Deal Origination outreach team, you will receive an annual salary of $50,000 plus uncapped commission (On Target Earnings of approximately $50,000 - $62,000).
