The Inside Sales Associate is responsible for generating new leads, qualify and nurture prospect leads, and assisting in the overall sales process. This role involves proactive outreach to potential clients, understanding their requirements, and effectively communicating the value proposition of products or services. Here are some key responsibilities and aspects of the role:
Essential Functions:
- Lead Generation: Proactively identify and generate leads through various channels, including cold calling, email campaigns, and online research. Qualify leads to determine their potential as customers.
- Lead Nurturing/Qualification: Proactively nurture new marketing qualified leads (MQL) in order to convert to viable sales qualified lead (SQL) for assignment to external sales team. Assist with development and execution of nurturing campaigns utilizing marketing automation platform (HubSpot preferred).
- Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions and activities for all assigned leads. Track and report on sales metrics and key performance indicators
- Client Communication: Communicate with potential clients to understand their needs, challenges, and objectives. Provide information about products or services and explain how they can address the client's requirements.
- Account Based Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to support the development of upsell and cross selling sales strategies/targets. Execute upsell and cross selling account-based sales initiatives with active customers as part of regular account follow ups, company communications, and touch points.
- Product Knowledge: Stay informed about the company's products or services and industry trends. Articulate product features and benefits to potential clients.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients. Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, sales, and customer experience, to ensure a coordinated approach to customer engagement.
Required Experience:
- 5+ years of professional experience in sales, business development role required
- Professional attitude, proactive, detail-focused and deadline oriented.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use computer programs such as Microsoft Office products.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently as well as in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to calling primarily on the end user and performing pull through sales techniques.
- Familiarity with CRM software (HubSpot preferred).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Prior sales experience calling on building materials contractors and/or professional sales training preferred.
Required Education:
- Associates degree required, Bachelors degree preferred.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
