Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned):
- Answers to customer inquiries through professional telephone and e-mail communication.
- Responsible for entering and managing orders in company ERP (SAP). Reviews purchase orders and related documentation in detail to validate terms and customer expectations and ensures order entry accuracy.
- Fills customer orders and oversees handoff to fulfillment. Acts as a liaison between customer and internal teams. Engages and communicates proactively with key stakeholders.
- Provides excellent customer service throughout the sales and delivery experience and assists in the resolution of order, delivery, and invoicing issues.
- Develops customer relationships by researching and identifying potential, building rapport, providing technical information and explanations, and preparing quotations.
- Assists in the generation of additional revenue through cross-selling and up-selling activities.
- Develops accounts by checking customers buying history, suggesting related and new items, and explaining technical features.
- Generates leads using company CRM tool (MS Dynamics) and supports international sales to Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America
- Maintains department KPIs and accomplishes department and organizational goals.
- Actively contributes to the improvement of quality results by maintaining proactive communication, following standards, and recommending improvements to policies and procedures.
- Explores opportunities to update job and product knowledge and participates in training and other educational opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Outstanding data entry skills
- Solid analytical abilities with a very good technical aptitude
- Inquisitive mindset with an entrepreneurial approach
- Strong motivation for sales and meeting sales goals
- Outstanding ability to develop and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
- Great English communication skills, both verbal and written. Fluency in Spanish/Portuguese is a plus, as it may be required for certain customer interactions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM systems is a plus
- Great organization and problem-solving skill, time management skills and pragmatism.
- High energy and drive with a positive team player mindset and great adaptability to change.
- Strong work ethic, technical affinity, ability to grow and mentor others as department expands
- Creative and willing to learn and try new things
- Hands-on, can-do, can-try approach
