Summary:

The Assistant Sales Manager will be responsible for the selling of RCCR event space, meeting rooms, hotel rooms, and other amenities. Assist with the planning of all sold events, all guest/event issues as they arise during the event, and post-event follow-up. Responsibilities will include the creation, growth, and management of customer accounts; to include account prospecting.

Essential Functions:
  • Assist in Account prospecting to create sales opportunities for RCCR group sales.
  • Assist in negotiating and closing sales as they relate to customer use of our event/meeting space, guest rooms, and other resort amenities.
  • Assist, plan and coordinate all group sales events.
  • Follow-up with site visits to existing corporate clients to help sell future business.
  • Prepare written correspondence to guests and to the Catering Assistant Manager.
  • Enter data into Sales system.
  • Set up new client files and maintain files for sales functions.
  • Prepare billing and final event details for booked groups and events.
  • Provide familiarization tours of the property to meeting planners and interested groups.
  • Assist with meet and greet group arrivals as needed.
  • Keep all departments informed of bookings and reservations.
  • Communicate needs of the clients so all departments are prepared to meet the needs of the client.
  • Assist with calculating monthly revenue number for Group Sales.
  • Assure an environment which emphasizes cooperation, communication, and teamwork with all departments.
  • Support compliance with all internal procedures and regulatory requirements, including those associated with underage and intoxicated guests.
  • Support current law and policy to provide a work environment free from illegal and discriminatory behavior.
  • Complete job duties with minimal supervision, maintain acceptable attendance, and use appropriate judgment.
  • Job duties, tasks, work hours, work requirements, and other duties as assigned may be added or changed at any time.
Required:
  • Must have demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate high-level of organizational skills while operating in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Previous experience/familiarity with audio/visual systems set-up and functioning.
  • Ability to use telephone, copy/fax machine, computer, Microsoft office, hand held radio and any department specific equipment, tools and computer software.
  • Prefer prior hospitality industry experience, including familiarity with banquet menus and room set-up.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and all levels of employees in both oral and written form.
  • Has the resiliency to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions and the ability to work effectively and courteously with fellow employees.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality including, but not limited to, player activity, claim activity, financial data, marketing plans, and policies.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret departmental needs and results.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and maintain mental concentration for significant periods of time.
  • Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures and in an interruptive environment.
  • Ability to perform a broad variety of tasks and deadlines with an irregular work schedule.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and all levels of employees in both oral and written form.
  • Ability to work in casino and office environment with excessive noise levels, bright lights, and smoke environment.
  • Knowledge of all facilities and promotional events available to guests on property.
Schedule:

Full-time: Schedule varies; to include nights, weekends & holidays

Salary:

Based on experience & 40 hours of PTO on day 1
