Full description of the position

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for driving the sales of Rivulis and Jain products within the assigned territory, achieving monthly and annual sales goals by dealer and product line. The DSM is responsible for professionally and enthusiastically representing Rivulis, transferring that enthusiasm for Rivulis and Rivulis and Jain products to the dealers and growers in the territory. The DSM will work closely with the Director of sales to create annual sales budgets and sales and distribution strategies, and work closely with Customer Service, Marketing, and Product Management to ensure customers are receiving expedient and excellent service and support. The DSM will enjoy traveling constantly throughout the territory, ensuring frequent in-person contact with all key customers and potential customers, including dealers and growers, to achieve the territory sales objectives.

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

: Bachelors Degree (B.A) from a four-year college or university; or extensive experience and/or training; and knowledge in irrigation, agriculture or farming experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Min. 3+ years prior sales and account management experience required.

Proven ability to meet sales goals is required.

Working knowledge of assigned agricultural market.

Working knowledge of Agricultural Irrigation Systems

Expert knowledge of and experience with Ag Drip Irrigation products used in the assigned territory is a big plus.

Proven ability to connect with customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following AND other duties as assigned.

Achieve monthly and annual sales goals by dealer and product line as defined in the annual sales budget.

Enthusiastically and professionally represent Rivulis, transferring your enthusiasm for Rivulis products to growers and dealers in the territory.

Aggressively implement the sales process by scheduling appointments, making presentations, identifying opportunities, overcoming obstacles, providing service and solutions, and forming partnerships with customers, diligently following up on all opportunities, quotes, and orders.

Identify market opportunities based on crop, location, irrigation method, etc. and compile and provide grower lists to the Marketing Department.

Work with Sales Director to develop dealer and grower specific annual sales plans

Manage the sales territory according to dealer and grower specific plans, including a customer specific sales call frequency.

Assist in developing and implementing annual marketing plans and programs for new product or special product promotions.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key dealer and grower contacts, including owners, purchasing agents, designers, etc., providing value through guidance and training. Coordinate use of Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and corporate personnel as needed.

Complete all sales and business-related reporting requirements in a thorough and timely manner, including sales reports, product forecasts, expense reports, mileage reports, etc.

Work with Customer Service, Product Management and Quality Assurance departments to investigate and resolve customer complaints quickly and professionally.

Maintains frequent communication and contact with customers to ensure that dealer locations are fully always stocked with literature and samples, have Rivulis banners prominently displayed, and are equipped with other marketing items (ex. Literature racks, product displays).

Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information for pricing, new and existing products, sales, and marketing techniques, etc. Make recommendations for improvements in existing Rivulis products or product mix to provide competitive advantage over the competition.

Grow in professional and technical knowledge, attending educational workshops, classes, and in-house trainings. Read relevant publications, establishing business related networks, etc.

Monitor and evaluate distribution channels and strategies, make recommendations for improvements to your sales Director.

Travel constantly throughout the territory (minimum 4 days per week), ensuring frequent in-person contact with all key customers and potential customers, including dealers and growers.

On occasion, help Accounting with past due accounts and credit issues, helping to build strong credit relationships between customers and Rivulis.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,570.00 - $106,950.00 per year
