Full description of the position

Sales Director

This important role will be responsible for the continued growth of the top-line sales revenues all products, and the profits by creating solutions for new and existing customers.

Must Haves:

  • Show a strong work history and experience in disciplined sales position
  • Strong history in Seafood sales, manufacturing, or distribution
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Hard working and strong team player
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others in a team setting

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Lead and motivate sales team, ensuring they meet or exceed sales quotas.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, customers, vendors, distributors, and partners.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain new business and service existing Wellfleet Shellfish Company, Inc. customers, partners and vendors.
  • Create new leads through networking and cold calling
  • Coordinate sales with other departments and team members
  • Continuously improve through excellent communication with customers, co-workers and owners
  • Promote and sell all products to national, regional and local accounts.

Qualifications:

  • Five years of industry related sales experience preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Highly motivated and goal oriented with proven track record of success
  • Relationship management skills
  • Willingness to learn about and demonstrate deep understanding/ knowledge of all products offered
  • Travel as needed
  • Ability to:

Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.

Identify growth opportunities and create action plans to capitalize on them.

Collaborate with marketing teams to align sales efforts with overall business goals.

  • Business Development:

Identify and pursue new business opportunities.

Cultivate partnerships with key accounts and negotiate contracts.

Explore expansion into new markets or product lines.
