At Cozzini Bros., we are on a mission; to exponentially grow our market share nationwide. As a result, we are seeking a Business Development Specialist, executing an individual contributor role, to develop our presence in the SOUTH San Diego, CA market. We are looking for driven and talented sales and/or food service professionals to build relationships with commercial kitchens in their assigned territory and to close new accounts.

Your onboarding and road to success with Cozzini Bros. Includes:

Week one: Ride along with our route service representatives to see what they do and show you the impact of our service as well as some administrative onboarding and walkthrough of knives, safety, and Salesforce.

Week two: Well fly you out to Chicago for a 2 and a half-day, condensed sales training that we call Cozzini Way. Its proven to give you the tools you need to succeed from day 1 in the field.

Week three: Ride along with performing sales reps in the field to see how they achieve success on a day-to-day level and get valuable on-the-job experience.

As a Cozzini Bros. Business Development Specialist, you will have unlimited potential. We offer a competitive base salary and an aggressive commission plan, including guaranteed commission in training, for the first 4 weeks.? Youll also be provided with every tool youll need to be successful:

• Company vehicle to use during work hours
• Gas/insurance/maintenance included.
• Stocked full of blades and knives to set up new accounts and leave samples (Our reps have a closing rate of over 33% on trial follow-ups.)

Key job responsibilities:

• Executing 15+ in-person sales contacts every day / 60 each week
• Leaving a minimum of 8 knife trials with prospective customers each week
• Establishing a minimum of 6 new customers each week through cold calling, networking, social media prospecting, and lead execution
• Maintaining accurate and detailed records in Salesforce
• Maintaining an accurate inventory of sales knives
• Working effectively with all Cozzini Bros. service and support team members
• Performing all duties safely (knife handling, operating company vehicles, being inside commercial kitchens)
• Maintaining the Cozzini Bros. company vehicle

Heres what were looking for:

• Exposure or experience to the food service industry
• A successful background in outside business development
• Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce experience is a plus)
• Highly motivated, target-driven with a proven track record
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills
• Openness to coaching and feedback
• Valid drivers license and meet pre-employment and periodic MVR requirements (as outlined in Cozzini Bros. Fleet Safety Program).
• Pass background and drug tests
• Possess the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and repetitively reach, twist, turn, bend, climb and pull
• Fulfill other requirements as outlined in the Cozzini Bros. Employee Handbook, Driver Safety Handbook, and by the direct supervisor
• Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is not required, but a big plus

Compensation:

• $50,000 / year annual salary PLUS the ability to earn UNCAPPED commissions.
