The Wankawala Organization is a hotel/restaurant management company with locations throughout Maryland and Pennsylvania. Currently we are growing in the Central PA market and are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for a new acquisition. JOB SUMMARY:
Oversee the sales and marketing efforts for the hotel. The Director of Sales (DOS) is responsible for directing the sales and marketing efforts of the hotel in order to maximize revenue.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Overseeing the retention and acquisition of accounts by growing existing accounts and generating new business to a level that meets or exceeds sales forecasts.
2. Executes all aspects of the sales and marketing plans to surpass revenue goals.
3. Make sales calls, both inside and outside, for prospecting to find new business and maintenance to maintain relationships with current accounts.
4. Build and maintain relationships with key clients. Creates and solicits new business through innovative means.
5. Attend CVB and Chamber events to maintain a presence in the community.
6. Be involved with local civic organizations to maintain a presence in the community.
7. Have a knowledge and understanding of events going on in the area and at competitor hotels.
8. Maintain the social media channels for the hotel.
9. Respond to RFP's for the hotel.
10. Assist in monitoring rates and making recommendations for yielding rates for better rate management.
11. Offer guest assistance whenever possible.
12. Responsible for resolving escalated customer relations issues in the absence of the property's general manager.
13. Answers inquires pertaining to hotel policies and services.
14. Must appropriately address guest requests to ensure customers are satisfied with the hotel's services and accommodations.
15. Responsible for positively representing and promoting the property.
16. Ensures systems and procedures are in place and followed for guest safety and security.
17. Prepares the yearly and quarterly sales and marketing budgets as well as the annual marketing plan.
18. Oversees the yielding of the group blocks.
19. Responsible for revenue forecasting.
20. Develop business plans as needed.
21. Oversees advertising and marketing campaigns for the hotel - both print and electronically.
22. Works with the general manager to analyze sales and marketing reports.
23. Ensures that the proper systems are being utilized to track all sales files, sales calls, and production of various rate plans or the hotel.
24. Directly supervises the sales and marketing staff. This includes, but is not limited to, hiring, training, directing work, and appraising performance of associates.
25. Resolves and employee relations issues and rewarding/disciplining associates with in the sales and marketing department.
26. Oversees the activities of staff members in order to ensure adherence to hotel policies and procedures.
27. Responsible for coaching and evaluating the sales and marketing teams' sales techniques in order to achieve sales revenue targets.
28. Attend sales and marketing meetings and training sessions offered by the brand.v
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $58,000.00 - $63,000.00 per year
