Summary:
We are currently seeking an Inside Sales Representative at our Blackduck location. This position plays a crucial role in serving our customers by providing exceptional service and expertise in the lumber and building materials industry. You will be responsible for building strong customer relationships, understanding their needs, providing accurate and timely quotes, and promoting our products and services. Your goal is to drive sales, meet revenue targets, and contribute to the overall success of our lumberyard.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Relationship Management:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers through effective communication and assistance.
- Act as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries, orders, and concerns.
- Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
Product Knowledge:
- Develop a deep understanding of our lumber and building material products.
- Stay informed about industry trends and changes in product availability.
Sales and Revenue Generation:
- Actively promote and sell lumber and building materials to existing and potential customers.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to maximize sales revenue.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and quotas.
Order Processing:
- Accurately process customer orders, ensuring correct product selection and quantities.
- Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Quotation and Pricing:
- Prepare price quotations and proposals for customers.
- Negotiate pricing and terms as necessary, while maintaining profitability.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales, and orders.
- Generate reports on sales activities, customer feedback, and market trends.
Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with colleagues in the lumberyard and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Share customer feedback and insights to improve products and services.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
- Proven inside sales experience, preferably in the lumber or building materials industry.
- Strong knowledge of lumber and construction materials.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using sales software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Sales-driven attitude with a customer-centric approach.
Working Conditions:
- This is primarily an indoor office-based role within the lumberyard.
- May require occasional lifting and moving of heavy materials.
- Flexible working hours may be required to accommodate customer needs.

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
