The California Rifle and Pistol Association is hiring for a Membership Specialist and Board Liaison. This position will report directly to the Operations Director and will work out of the Fullerton, CA office.

THIS IS AN OFFICE POSITION WORKING WITH THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS, COMMITTEE MEMBERS, and OPERATIONS DIRECTOR. PLEASE READ THE REQUIREMENTS. ONLY QUALIFIED APPLICANTS PLEASE.

Standard work week is Monday-Friday from 8:30-5PM. There will be alternate work schedules when committee meetings and board meetings are on calendar. These meetings occur in the evenings and on weekends because we work with volunteers.

The Membership Specialist and Board Liaison will be expected to do the following:

1) Have a good working knowledge of NEON Member Systems. This can be learned, but this position is a high level user position.

2) Have experience with posting in Word Press platform and be able to assist with questions on the website and in the NEON system with members or staff.

2) Be a people person who can work with members, multiple committee members, and board members. A pleasant and helpful attitude are a must at all times.

3) Have a working knowledge of the Bylaws and corporate documents, understand how to take minutes for all committee and board meetings, and maintain accuarate records for the CRPA and CRPAF.

4) Coordinate all committee meetings and board meetings- including scheduling, communications with chairs, preparing agendas, conducting roll call, preparing minutes, etc. (Some meetings are online and some are in person at the offices)

5) Assist Operations Director with board and committee election processes and keep up with records of service and terms for all committee members.

6) Support the CRPA Foundation with meetings , communications with trustees, grant programs and applicant communications, scholarship program.

7) Assists in pulling multiple reports for membership needs at the request of Operations Director. This position also assists other departments in looking at membership statisticts as needed.

8) Must be available to attend evening committee meetings and weekend board meetings (twice a year).

9) Proficient with computer- MS Word, Excel, and reporting. Be very organized.

10) Must be willing to step up and take on other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:

-College degree and excellent writing skills and communication skills

-At least 2 years working with a non-profit organization with members and donors

-Team player-we are looking for someone who is committed and willing to help others in the office and work with other departments. We are a small team so we wear many hats.

-High level of experience with MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and others

-Supports the mission of CRPA and the Second Amendment of the United States.

-Must be able to pass a background check and maintain a Certificate of Eligibility from the DOJ. (This will be further discussed if an offer is made)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
