Commercial HVAC Account Manager

(Minimum 5 years relevant experience required)

Addison Smith Mechanical Contractor, Inc. a leading mechanical contractor in West Georgia is seeking a Commercial HVAC Account Manager for our growing Service and Retrofit Group.

1. Essential Functions:

The HVAC Account Manager will be self-motivated individual who has the ability to seek out new relationships to sell HVAC Service and Retrofit Projects. Provide engineered equipment application to a variety of projects. Possess ability to lead a team. You will be required to maintain relationships with your customers and have the ability to solve mechanical issues through proposed solutions. Gains customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating benefits of Preventative Maintenance and operations improvements. Prepares cost estimates by studying conditions, plans, and related customer documents; consulting with engineers, architects, and other professional and technical personnel. Provides product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting to identify target accounts
  • Cold calling to set up meetings with new accounts
  • Go to meetings with new accounts to create interest and uncover project opportunities for quoting.
  • Keep in touch with existing relationships to ensure project quoting opportunities
  • Must be able to read and understand drawings for projects that need to be quoted
  • Utilize tools and equipment for quoting and bid tracking
  • Communicate and solicit bids from sub-contractors and vendors
  • Generate tentative schedules to determine job durations based on specifications, job conditions and required work
  • Takeoff accurate quantities of ductwork, pipe, etc.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, design professionals, sub-contractors, vendors, and co-workers
  • Win opportunities and meet revenue and margin goals
