Scope:
As part of the North American sales team, the Territory Sales Manager is responsible for managing sales activities within the Mid-Atlantic geographic region (PA, NJ, DE, MD, WV, VA).
Role:
The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for managing sales activities within the specified geographic region to achieve maximum profitability and growth. He/she is required to develop and implement effective sales strategies, meet territory sales quotas, and maintain excellent customer relationships.
Due to the large geographic nature of the position, it requires the ability to work independently with limited supervision and as part of a team. The Territory Sales Manager must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, self-motivation, and a results-driven attitude, excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, and willingness to work flexible hours as needed. This role will require frequent overnight travel within the assigned area, and occasional overnight travel outside of the area, e.g., for training, tradeshows, conferences, and meetings.
Core areas of responsibility:
- Meet or exceed sales and budget goals on a monthly basis.
- Implement strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base within the assigned territory.
- Create and maintain accurate sales pipeline to track leads, sales activity, and opportunities in a CRM system, i.e., Salesforce.
- Develop and deliver sales presentations and product demonstrations to potential customers and/or current customers to ensure successful adoption of products or services.
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through prospecting, networking, and other sales techniques to maximize profitability and revenue potential and drive market acceptance and growth.
- Generate additional sales by selling new products and programs.
- Building and maintaining relationships with key members of a project team, including owners, owner representatives, architects, construction managers, consultants, engineers, general contractors and subcontractors.
- Reading and interpreting construction documents and analyzing competitors specifications and determining the best alternative solutions.
- Provide a superior level of service to existing customers.
- Analyze market trends and maintain up to date knowledge of competitor activities to adjust sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
- Provide daily visit reports of all customer visits in the CRM system, i.e., Salesforce, including accurate documentation of price/discount/rebate agreements.
- Provide regular monthly sales reports, expense reports, and forecasts to management.
- Manage expenses and promotional budget within guidelines.
- Attending trade shows and other industry events as approved by management to promote products and services.
- Collaborate with other departments such as Marketing, Technical Services, and Customer Service to ensure customer needs are met and sales goals are achieved.

Qualifications:
Education
- College or University Degree in business or marketing related discipline
Work Experience
- Minimum 5 years experience with territory sales management, including creating a territory sales plan, setting sales goals, and executing a sales strategy.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and expanding customer base.
